Recall of Multivitamin Due to Unsafe Bottling For Children

On March 12, 2002, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Leiner Health Products, of Carson, Calif., in cooperation with CPSC, is voluntarily recalling about 14,000 bottles of dietary supplements containing iron. The supplements being recalled are not packaged in child-resistant packaging as required under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. If ingested by children, these iron-containing supplements can cause serious injury or death.
