White tea is made from the same leaves as green tea, but picked at a less mature stage. When brewed, white tea tends to provide comparable amounts of catechins (although, according to one study, much lower antioxidant activity overall), lower amounts of caffeine, and is less likely to be contaminated with lead than green tea.
