Question:
I would like to try gotu kola for varicose veins but I've heard it's not safe to take. Is that true?

Answer:
There is preliminary evidence that gotu kola (Centella asiatica) can help reduce symptoms of venous insufficiency such as heaviness, discomfort, and swelling, although it is not known if it can make visible varicose veins disappear. (You can read more about this and other proposed uses for gotu kola, such as helping with anxiety and improving cognition, in the Gotu Kola article which includes dosage information).

Although generally well tolerated, side effects can occur and liver injury has been reported in rare instances. Get the details gotu kola's safety, in the full answer >>
