Lactospore in Probiotics

Question:
What is Lactospore? I see it is an ingredient in some probiotic supplements.

Answer:
LactoSpore is a branded probiotic containing the “sporulating” bacteria Bacillus coagulans. Information about Bacillus coagulans and other probiotic organisms, including different species and strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium, plus clinical evidence, dose, and products which contain these probiotic organisms, is found in the Probiotics Supplement Review >>

My mother had undiagnosed case of irritable bowel syndrome (it's hard to get out of the house with something like that...) which lasted for few years and slowly worsened over time. Finally, after she couldn't control it with diet any more, we tried Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856, or Lactospore, 2 billion CFUs a day, and after only few days, less than week, she recovered. In any case, be sure to take 2 billion CFUs a day, which with this product means 4 tablets. It is possible that my mother didn't have IBS, but something milder, but in any case I think that it is worth mentioning in case it can help someone. I ordered package of 600 tablets, so we had plenty of left over which we take every few days, but not at full dose.
