St. John's Wort Supplements Recalled

On February 8, 2016, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) (the British equivalent of the FDA) announced that certain St. John's wort supplements are being recalled because they contain excessive levels of a toxic pyrrolizidine alkaloid (PA). Although the recall was issued in the United Kingdom, some of these supplements appear to be available for purchase online at Amazon.com as of February 9, 2016.
