FDA Warns Maker of "Relaxation" Drink

On March 4, 2015, the FDA issued a warning letter to Bebida Beverage Company (BeBevCo) following a review of the company's website and product label, which found the "relaxation beverage"Koma Unwind Liquid Relaxation to be adulterated because it contains melatonin. Melatonin is allowed as a dietary supplement ingredient, but is not approved as an ingredient in conventional foods and beverages, which are subject to different regulations.
