Honey-Based Enhancement Supplement Recalled

On July 13, 2022, Shopaax.com issued a recall of all lots of its honey-based sexual enhancement product, Kingdom Honey Royal Honey VIP, after FDA analysis found the presence of undeclared sildenafil.

Sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) is prescribed for erectile dysfunction. This drug can cause symptoms like headache and flushing and can interact with medications containing nitrates such as nitroglycerin, resulting in dangerously low blood pressure.

Recalled Kingdom Honey Royal Honey VIP (see product photos) was sold on the company website and possibly retail stores. The product is packaged in a golden box which contains 12 sachets of 20 grams of honey with various expiration dates.

The sale of this product has been suspended on the company website and Shopaax.com has temporarily removed all other products from the site pending investigation. The FDA recently warned consumers not to use other honey-based sexual enhancement products that were found to contain prescription drugs.

Consumers should contact their physician or healthcare provider if they have experienced any problems that may be related to taking or using these drug products and immediately stop use. Consumers and healthcare providers can report any adverse reactions to the FDA’s MedWatch Program or through the Safety Reporting Portal.
