1st phorm Level-1 Protein Supplements Recalled Due to Staph Risk

On June 21, 2023, International Food Companies DBA International Food Products recalled two protein supplements due to potential contamination with Staphylococcus aureus.

Staphylococcus aureus can cause food poisoning, the onset of which can be rapid, and in many cases, acute, depending on the amount of toxin ingested and other factors. Common symptoms include nausea, vomiting, retching, abdominal cramping, and prostration, and in more severe cases, headache, muscle cramping, and transient changes in blood pressure and pulse can occur.

Recalled products were distributed in Missouri and manufactured for 1st Phorm in Fenton. They can be identified by the following:

  • 1st phorm Level-1 Sustained Assimilation Protein. Milk Chocolate. Protein Supplement. Item Number: 502066, Net Wt: 2.45 lbs, UPC: 8 50026-19672 6, Lot Number: 23088AP8A
  • 1st phorm Level-1 Sustained Assimilation Protein. Chocolate Marshmallow. Protein Supplement. Item Number: 502396, Net Wt: 2.45 lbs, UPC: 8 50036-64808 6, Lot Number: 23087AP8A

Consumers who have purchased these products should not consume them and immediately dispose of them.
