Organifi Settles Charges of Unsupported Claims

Organifi, LLC has agreed to pay $150,000 in civil penalties and $50,000 in investigative costs as restitution to settle charges that the company made unsupported claims that its Gold, Pure, Green Juice, and Red Juice products could balance hormone and cortisol levels, regulate the parasympathetic nervous system, and replace bad bacteria with good bacteria.

The settlement was announced on October 5, 2023, by the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office, which is part of the California Food, Drug, and Medical Device Task Force.

Organifi products, which are sold on Amazon, the company's website, and through other major retailers, and are typically sold in packets or jars containing a blend of powdered greens or fruits and vegetables. For example, Organfi’s Green Juice contains a blend of ashwagandha extract, spirulina powder, chlorella powder, matcha powder, turmeric extract, and more.

“Consumers have the right to expect that the products they purchase will work as advertised.” Sonoma County District Attorney Carla Rodriguez stated in the news release about the settlement.
