Recall of Whey Protein Powders Due to Allergens

On October 6, 2010 the FDA posted a recall notice from Prolab Nutrition Inc. (dated September 30) indicating that some of its PROLAB protein powders are being recalled as they may contain undeclared milk, wheat and gluten allergens.

People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk and/or wheat and gluten allergens may run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume products containing these allergens. For this reason, PROLAB is proactively recalling the affected products, although no illnesses or discomfort has been reported to date.
