Maker of Vitamin C, Aloe and Sexual Enhancement Supplements Warned for Drug Claims and Misbranding

On October 22, 2012, the FDA issued a warning letter to Health Breakthroughs International, LLC after a review of the company's product labels and website found the dietary supplements Amazing C, MPS-Gold 100 and Power Herbal Formula to be promoted as drugs. These supplements were also found to be misbranded because information required by federal regulations, such as the quantity of each botanical ingredient, was not included on the labels.

Amazing C contains vitamin C, calcium citrate, magnesium citrate and L-glutamine, and was promoted to "heal the small intestines."

MPS-Gold 100 contains powdered aloe vera gel and larch tree powder, and was promoted to treat cold, flu, pain and inflammation.

Power Herbal Formula was promoted to treat erectile disorders.
