Nutrition Bar Recalled Due To Undeclared Allergen

On March 7, 2013, Lifestyle Evolution Inc. issued a recall of various NuGO nutrition bars because the bars may contain undeclared milk, a potential allergen.

People with a milk allergy should not consume these bars because they could cause an allergic reaction, which can be life-threatening.

The following varieties of NuGO bars are being recalled:

NuGO Free Trail Mix bars with UPC code 6 91535 45301 2 and Best Before dates up to and including March 27, 2014.

NuGO Free Dark Chocolate Crunch bars with UPC code 6 91535 45101 8 and Best Before datesup to and including March 20, 2014.

NuGO Dark Mocha bars with UPC code 6 91535 52301 2 and Best Before dates up to and including March 26, 2014.

NuGO Dark Chocolate Chip bars with UPC code 6 91535 52101 8 and Best Before dates up to and including March 21, 2014.

NuGO Dark Mint Chocolate Chip bars with UPC code 6 91535 52501 6 and Best Before dates up to and including March 26, 2014.

NuGO Dark Chocolate Pretzels bars with UPC code 6 92535 52901 4 and Best Before dates up to and including March 21, 2014.

The bars were distributed in Canada, but are also available in the U.S. through major online retailers and websites selling supplements and nutritional products.
