Weight Loss Capsules Recalled Due Allergen Risk

On December 13, 2013, Stone Independent Research, Inc. issued recall of one lot of Zanocap Scientific Weight Loss 500 mg capsules because they contain undeclared whey protein, which is derived from milk.

These capsules could cause serious or life-threatening allergic reactions in people with a milk allergy.

Recalled Zanocap Scientific Weight Loss 500 mg capsules are packaged in a white plastic bottle containing 90 capsules and can be identified by Lot# 10W15013 and Expiration Date 05/2015. No other lots of this product are affected by the recall.

The capsules were distributed nationwide through internet sales beginning on June 1st, 2013.

Zanocap Scientific Weight Loss 500 mg capsules also contain senna leaf, capsicum, plantain leaf, xanthan gum, kelp, ginkgo leaf, Echinacea purpurea tops, bromelain, garlic bulb, ginger root, ginseng, mate, meadowsweet, St. John’s wort and valerian root.
