Seller of Energy & Joint Supplements, Aloe, Silver and More Warned for Drug Claims

On November 24, 2014, the FDA issued a warning letter to Jansen Enterprises, LLC, dba HealthWorksUSA, following an inspection of the company's website which found statements made about Nutra Blast Natural Energy, Ionic Silver Water, Nutra Complete, and Nutra Gel to be drug claims. 

Nutra Blast Natural Energy contains cayenne (Capsicum), MSM, Rhodiola rosea and vitamin D. It was promoted for energy and joint pain with statements such as "[I]ncluding pain relief and joint support." 

Ionic Silver Water was promoted to treat various illnesses with statements such as "When confronting an illness, take a capful every hour and "swish" it in your mouth for 30 seconds, then swallow it and don't rinse." 

Nutra Complete contains spirulina, MSM, aloe, Rhodiola rosea, vitamin D and trace minerals. It was promoted to treat a number of conditions with statements such as "It provides the acemannan so your enzymes can make the glycoproteins your cells need to communicate with the macrophages to kill the cancer cells (See: Autoimmune Diseases section).

Nutra Gel is a topical gel containing aloe, MSM, emu oil and "ionic silver water." It was promoted to treat insect bites, prevent sunburn and treat muscle pain with statements such as such as "Now children and fair-skinned people can safely avoid burning!" and "Helps relieve joint and muscle pain!
