EXO Cricket Protein Bars Recalled

On April 5, 2018, Aspire Food Group, issued a recall of certain 60 gram EXO cricket protein bars because they may contain undeclared sulfites. Apricots used in the products contain sulfur dioxide as a preservative.

People with a severe sensitivity to sulfites should not consume these bars as they could cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

The recalled bars were distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail orders. They are packaged in a film wrapper and can be identified by the following lots/Best By dates on the underside of the wrapper:
  • EXO Cricket Protein Bar Blueberry Vanilla 26DEC2018 and 06APR2018 (UPC: 861703000069)

  • EXO Cricket Protein Bar Peanut Butter & Jelly 27DEC2018 and 09APR2018 (UPC: 861703000014)

  • EXO Cricket Protein Bar Apple Cinnamon 08APR2018 (UPC: 861703000014)

Consumers who have purchased these lots of EXO bars should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund
