CanaBD Warned for CBD Coronavirus Claims

On April 16, 2020, the FDA issued a warning letter to Nova Botanix LTD DBA CanaBD for selling products with unsupported claims that they can treat coronavirus (COVID-19).

The company was promoting CBD products with statements such as "Here are several ways CBD can help you with your immune system in the current crisis" and "CBD oil may help to prevent getting infected by strengthening your immune system. It has also been proven to offer relief to some of the symptoms."

The agency instructed the companies to send an email to within 48 hours of receipt of the warning, describing the specific steps they have taken to correct these violations.
