Red-E Male Enhancement Capsule Recalled
On September 1, 2020, The Protein Shoppe, LLC issued a recall of Red-E male enhancement capsules because FDA analysis found it to contain sildenafil.
Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, is prescribed for erectile dysfunction. This drug can cause symptoms like headache and flushing, and can interact with medications containing nitrates such as nitroglycerine, resulting in dangerously low blood pressure.
Recalled Red-E male enhancement capsules were sold online at www.rgvproteinshoppe.com. They are scored octagonal tablets with "Red" embossed on either side of the score line on one side of the tablet and are packaged in small plastic bags with black labels stapled to them.
Consumers who purchased the recalled products should stop using them and return them to the place of purchase. Consumers should contact their physician or healthcare provider if they have experienced any problems that may be related to taking or using this drug product.
Consumers and healthcare providers can report any adverse reactions to the FDA's MedWatch Voluntary Reporting Program.
