Three Male Enhancement Products Recalled Due to Undeclared Drugs

Between March 24 and 26, 2021, three companies issued recalls of their male enhancement capsules because FDA analysis found them to contain sildenafil and tadalafil. The products are Thumbs Up 7 Blue 69K capsules from Bit & Bet LLC, Imperial Extreme 2000mg capsules from S&B Shopper LLC, and Thumbs Up 7 Red 70K, 10 capsules from Antoto-K.

Sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) and tadalafil (the active ingredient in Cialis) are prescribed for erectile dysfunction. These drugs can cause symptoms like headache and flushing, and can interact with medications containing nitrates such as nitroglycerine, resulting in dangerously low blood pressure.

More details about each recently-warned company can be found below (use the link to read the full warning letter).

  • Bit & Bet LLC (Thumbs Up 7 Blue 69K) is packaged in blister foil sheets in a box of 10 capsules labeled with UPC 6 17135 89467 3. All lots are included in the recall.
  • S&B Shopper LLC (Imperial Extreme 2000mg) is packaged in a single-capsule cardboard blister pack. All lots are included in the recall, and most (but not all) have an expiration date of 12/30/23.
  • Antoto-K (Thumbs Up 7 Red 70K) is packaged in a foil sheet and a box containing 10 capsules.

Consumers who purchased the recalled products should stop using them and return them to the place of purchase. Consumers should contact their physician or healthcare provider if they have experienced any problems that may be related to taking or using these drug products.

Consumers and healthcare providers can report any adverse reactions to the FDA's MedWatch Voluntary Reporting Program.
