Over $973,000 Returned to NutraClick Consumers
On January 25, 2023, the FTC announced it will be returning over $973,000 to over 17,000 consumers who lost money after NutraClick LLC allegedly automatically enrolled them in unwanted membership programs for supplements and beauty products.
NutraClick originally settled a complaint with the FTC in 2016 that alleged it lured consumers with “free” samples of supplements and beauty products and then charged them recurring monthly fees without consumer consent. The FTC filed another complaint against the company in 2020, alleging it violated the 2016 settlement order by misleading consumers about when they had to cancel their free trial memberships to avoid monthly fees. The defendants agreed to pay $1.04 million for consumer refunds.
The FTC started sending payments by check on January 25, 2023. Consumers who receive a check should cash it within 90 days.
