Smoked Salmon Recalled Due to Listeria Risk

On March 14, 2023, Seven Seas International USA, LLC issued a voluntary recall of 295 cases of Biltmore Smoked Sockeye Salmon after routine testing by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services discovered the presence of Listeria monocytogenes or Salmonella.

Infection with Listeria monocytogenes can cause symptoms like short-term fever, headache, nausea, and diarrhea in healthy adults but can be fatal in those with weakened immune systems - children and the elderly - and can lead to miscarriages in pregnant women.

Affected cases of Biltmore Smoked Sockeye Salmon (see product photos) can be identified by production lot number R4058, which is printed on the clear plastic film protecting the product. Only packages sold prior to March 14, 2023 are affected by this recall.

Consumers who have purchased affected products are advised not to consume it and to return the product to its place of purchase for a full refund.
