Babies' Magic Tea Gripe Water Recalled Due to Undeclared Alcohols

On October 6, 2026, Pacific Health Sciences recalled one lot of Babies' Magic Tea Baby Sleep Gripe Water after FDA testing found undeclared ethanol, methanol, and isopropanol in the product.

FDA testing measured approximately 8.3% ethanol, 0.35% methanol, and 0.48% isopropanol in the recalled product, although none of these substances were listed on the label. According to the recall notice, the potential risk depends on the amount consumed as well as the age and body weight of the person using the product.

  • Recalled Babies' Magic Tea Baby Sleep Gripe Water (see product photos) is packaged in a 4-fl-oz (approximately 118 mL) amber bottle inside a blue cardboard box and includes an oral syringe. The recalled product can be identified by:

  • Best Before: 12/2028

The affected lot was distributed to Secrets of Tea for subsequent sale through online retailers, including Amazon.

As of October 6, 2026, Pacific Health Sciences had received no reports of adverse events associated with the recalled lot.

Consumers, parents, and caregivers who have recalled Babies' Magic Tea Baby Sleep Gripe Water should stop using it and discard the product or return it to the place of purchase for a refund. Anyone who experiences symptoms after using the product should seek medical attention.
