Allergy Alert Issued for "Essentials" and "RightFoods" Brand Products

On February 7, 2011, BioSan Laboratories issued a voluntary recall (posted on the FDA website) for its products sold under the Essentials and RightFoods brands, as well as the Therapeutix Cardio Strength and Innate Cardio Response brands. These products may contain undeclared soy flour.

The products are distributed nationwide through retail stores, internet and healthcare practitioners.

The recall was initiated by BioSan Laboratories as a result of a quality review at the company. People with allergies or severe sensitivity to soy flour may be at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume any of the recalled products.

BioSan Laboratories has received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. No other products produced by BioSan Laboratories are involved in this recall. Consumers who have purchased any of the items listed may return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
