Hoodia Supplements Containing No Hoodia Are Banned from California Counties

As reported by the Mercury News on January 9, 2012, the maker of two dietary supplements (Dex-L10 and Dex-L10 Complete) that claimed to contain the appetite suppressant Hoodia can no longer sell the pills in 10 counties in California. Prosecutors tested the products and found that they contained no Hoodia.
