FDA Warns Sports Nutrition Manufacturer of GMP Violations

On June 26, 2012, the FDA issued a warning letter to Parrillo Performance subsequent to a manufacturing and packing facility inspection which found Parrillo products to be adulterated due to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) violations. These violations include failure to perform identity testing for at least one product ingredient, follow procedures for instrument calibration, and maintain manufacturing and quality control records.

Parrillo Performance manufactures sports nutrition products such as protein powders, nutrition bars and amino acid supplements.
