Whey Protein Supplements Recalled Due To Undeclared Allergens

On September 21, 2012, Maine Natural Health, which also sells supplements under the brand name Stronger Faster Healthier, issued a recall of several Whey Protein Concentrate products because the labels do not list the allergens milk, shellfish and coconut. These ingredients can cause serious and life-threatening reactions in individuals who are allergic. Consumers with allergies to these ingredients should not consume these products, which are listed below by brand and allergen:

Maine Natural Health Products

-Pure Whey contains the allergen milk.

-Recovery, Post Workout and Rejuvenate contain the allergens milk and shellfish.

Stronger Faster Healthier Products

-Pure Whey contains the allergen milk.

-Recovery, Post Workout and Rejuvenate contain the allergens milk and shellfish.

-Fortified, Endurance Daily contain the allergen milk.

-Daily Balance, Endurance Daily, Endurance In Race, Hunger and Weight contain the allergens milk and coconut.

The products were sold in 2 lb., 10 oz., and 30 gram sizes and were distributed nationwide through internet and retail sales between July 14, 2010 and August 31, 2012.
