Weight Loss Supplement Contains Hidden Drug

On February 3, 2015, the FDA warned consumers not to buy or use weight loss supplement Yanhee Slim because it was found to contain lorcaserin.

Lorcaserin, the active ingredient in the prescription drug Belviq, is a controlled substance. This drug may cause psychiatric disturbances and changes in attention and memory; it may also cause life-threatening interactions with other medications a consumer may be taking.

Yanhee Slim is promoted for weight loss and sold on various websites and possibly in some retail stores.

Consumers who have purchased this supplement should discontinue use immediately and contact their healthcare provider if they have experienced any adverse side effects. Consumers and healthcare providers are also encouraged to report any adverse reactions to the FDA's MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting Program.
