"Natureal" Weight Supplement Recalled

On November 9, 2015 Inaffit, LLC issued a voluntary recall of all lots of weight loss supplement Natureal because it was found to contain undeclared sibutramine.

Sibutramine, the active ingredient in the obesity drug Meridia, was removed from the U.S. market in October 2010 because it can substantially increase blood pressure and pulse rate in some individuals, and may present a significant risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, or stroke. This drug may also interact, in life-threatening ways, with other medications a consumer may be taking.

Recalled Natureal capsules are light and dark green, and are packaged in a clear bottle. They were distributed from the Natureal office in Palmetto, Florida, and sold online at www.naturealfls.com. They can be identified by the following:

  • Manufactured: 3/12/2015
  • Expiration Date: 3/11/2017

Consumers who have purchased this supplement should discontinue use and contact their healthcare provider if they have experienced any adverse side effects. Consumers and healthcare providers are also encouraged to report any adverse reactions to the FDA's MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting Program.
