Amino Acid Supplements Recalled

On May 18, 2016, Ultimate Nutrition Inc. issued a recall of its Amino Gold amino acid tablets and capsules because they contain undeclared milk in the form of hydrolyzed whey protein.

People with an allergy to milk should not consume these supplements as they could cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

Recalled Amino Gold tablets and capsules were distributed nationwide through distributors, stores, and websites. They are packaged in purple bottles with a black cap and can be identified by the following:

  • Amino Gold Capsules (1000 mg, 250 capsules), Code #140, UPC 0 99071 00140 5
  • Amino Gold Formula (1000 mg, 250 tablets), Code #120, UPC 0 99071 00120 7
  • Amino Gold (1500 mg, 325 tablets), Code #110, UPC 0 99071 00110 8
