Sexual Enhancement Supplements Containing Undeclared Drugs Recalled

On May 17, 2018, Shoreside Enterprises, Inc., recalled certain lots of its sexual enhancement supplements 7K and Poseidon 4500 (Extreme 1000 mg) because they were found to contain undeclared sildenafil and/or tadalafil.

Sildenafil and tadalafil, the active ingredients in the prescription drugs Viagra and Cialis, respectively, are prescribed for erectile dysfunction. These drugs can cause symptoms like headache and flushing, and can interact with medications containing nitrates such as nitroglycerine, resulting in dangerously low blood pressure that may be life threatening.

The recalled products were distributed were distributed from February 2, 2017, to December 19, 2017, to retail locations in Illinois, Ohio, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Florida by Shoreside Enterprises. They are packaged in 1 capsule blister packs and can be identified by the following:

  • 7K, Lot #RO
  • Poseidon 4500 (Extreme 1000 mg),  Lot #20117BL
Consumers who have purchased these supplements should discontinue use immediately and return the them to the place of purchase or directly to Shoreside Enterprises.
