FDA Warns Seller of FullerLifeC60 for Coronavirus Claims

On March 30, 2020, the FDA issued a warning letter to FullerLifeC60, LLC, for selling a product with unsupported claims that it can treat coronavirus (COVID-19).

The company was promoting the product FullerLifeC60 with statements such as "Will you get Coronavirus?... 6 steps for protection from the Coronavirus... Build up your immunity with foods rich in antioxidants and bioactive protection such as Carbon 60 (C60)."

The FDA emphasized that there are currently no approved treatments for the virus stating: "For COVID-19, no such study is currently known to exist for the product identified above."

The agency instructed the companies to send an email to COVID-19-Task-Force-CDER@fda.hhs.gov within 48 hours of reciept of the warning, describing the specific steps they have taken to correct these violations.
