Limar Hand Sanitizer Recalled

On July 1, 2021, Ardil Comercial recalled one lot of Limar Hand Sanitizer packaged because its packaging resembles water bottles which could pose a risk of ingestion.

Hand sanitizers can be toxic if ingested, and can cause lack of coordination, slowed or slurred speech, drowsiness, coma, or death. Children may also experience decreased blood sugar which may lead to death. Alcohol consumption during pregnancy can lead to birth defects and developmental disabilities, and consumption during nursing can also lead to impaired development.

The FDA first warned consumers about hand sanitizers that are packaged in food and drink containers in September of 2020.

Recalled Limar Hand Sanitizer hand sanitizer (see images) was distributed nationwide to a distributor who may have further distributed nationwide in the USA. It can be identified by the following:

  • Limar Hand Sanitizer (4 oz)
  • Lot # 079932-4611-05-J
  • Expiration date: May 2022

Individuals who have recalled Limar Hand Sanitizer should return it to the place of purchase.
