"Miss Slim" Capsules Recalled

On July 20, 2021, HIS issued a recall of all lots and presentations of Miss Slim capsules because FDA analysis found them to contain sibutramine.

Sibutramine, the active ingredient in the obesity drug Meridia, was removed from the U.S. market in October 2010 because it can substantially increase blood pressure and pulse rate in some individuals, and may present a significant risk for patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, or stroke. This drug may also interact, in life-threatening ways, with other medications a consumer may be taking.

Recalled Miss Slim capsules (see product photos) were promoted for weight loss and sold online at missslimusa.com. They can be identified by the following:

  • Miss Slim 10-count pack of capsules, UPC 742137605030
  • Miss Slim 30-count pack of capsules, UPC 609728434472
Consumers who have recalled Miss Slim capsules should stop using them and contact their healthcare provider if they experience any problems that may be related to taking the product.
