Of Concern: The Daily Post and Hiya

White Plains, New York, March 22, 2023 — An "advertorial" for Hiya Kids Daily Multivitamin appearing on the website "The Daily Post" provided misinformation and suggested that ConsumerLab.com recommended this product, which is completely false. ConsumerLab has not evaluated any product from Hiya Health. The advertorial presented incorrect information about ConsumerLab's tests of children’s vitamins and displayed, without permission, ConsumerLab.com’s name, which is a registered trademark, as well as a representation of its logo.

ConsumerLab contacted Hiya Health and The Daily Post by email, demanding removal of the advertorial. Neither entity provided a phone number or mailing address. The Daily Post website is not a ".com" site but a ".co" site registered in Columbia.

[Update (6/9/23): No response was received for 10 weeks until June 9, 2023, when Darren Litt, co-founder of Hiya Health Products LLC, emailed ConsumerLab to indicate that the article was removed. Mr. Litt blamed the article on “a third-party marketing agency." He explained that the delay in responding to ConsumerLab.com was due to the fact that "ConsumerLab’s communication to us was sent to our support email and inadvertently filtered by our customer service team, which believed the email to be spam. We have since updated our policies to make sure this type of situation does not happen again."

Be aware that a Facebook page called "Healthy Mama" seems to exist to promote Hiya and other products promoted on The Daily Post. According to Facebook, the Healthy Mama page is run by a company called Social Cadre LLC.
