Hu Vanilla Crunch Dark Chocolate Bars Recalled Due to Allergen Risk

On May 18, 2023, Hu Products issued a voluntary recall of one lot of its Vanilla Crunch Dark Chocolate Bar because they may contain undeclared tree nuts (hazelnut, cashew, and/or almond).

People who are sensitive or allergic to hazelnuts, cashews, and/or almonds should not consume the recalled bars as doing so could cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

Recalled products (see product photos) were sold in retail stores and online in the U.S. and can be identified by the following:

  • Vanilla Crunch Dark Chocolate Bar (2.1 oz. bar)
  • UPC: 850180006206
  • Lot Code: L2343C
  • Best By Date: 12/09/2024

Consumers who are sensitive or allergic to hazelnut, cashew, and/or almond should discard any product they may have.
