Joint Supplement Recalled Due to Salmonella Risk

On April 15, 2025, Optimal Carnivore, LLC recalled 1,483 bottles of Bone & Joint Restore capsules because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

Salmonella is an organism that has been linked to fatal infection in young children, frail or elderly adults, and people with weakened immune systems. In healthy adults, Salmonella can produce fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare cases, Salmonella infection can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

Recalled Bone & Joint Restore capsules were distributed nationwide. They are packaged in a plastic bottle containing 180 capsules, and can be further identified by the following:

  • Product name: Bone & Joint Restore
  • Expiration date: 12/2026
  • Lot #:1224064

Optimal Carnivore, LLC is notifying consignees or the public of the recall by email.
