Prenate Chewable Prenatal Vitamin Recalled

On October 29, 2025, Avion Pharmaceuticals issued a recall of multiple lots of Prenate Chewable, a prescription-only prenatal multivitamin containing methylfolate (as Quatrefolic), due to undeclared soy and a significant labeling error in which the amount of boron is incorrectly listed as 250 mg per serving instead of the intended 250 mcg. Undeclared soy poses a risk to individuals with soy allergies, and the boron mislabeling could mislead consumers and healthcare providers about the product’s composition.

(See our Multivitamin and Multimineral Supplements Review, which includes our tests of prenatal multivitamins and our Top Picks. Also see our information about Quatrefolic and other forms of folate in our B Vitamin Supplements Review.)

Recalled Prenate Chewable are chocolate-flavored chewable tablets and can be identified by Product Code 75854-306-30 and the following lot numbers and expiration dates:

  • Lot: 2402036, Exp 04/2026
  • Lot: 2402036A, Exp 04/2026
  • Lot: 2412020, Exp 02/2027
