On November 12, 2025, Genepro Protein, Inc. recalled Genepro Whey 4th Generation Plasma Treated Protein (unflavored) because the product is mislabeled and fails to declare milk as an allergen. The front label incorrectly claims the product is “lactose free,” “dairy free,” and “allergen free.”

People who are allergic to milk should not consume this product as it could cause a severe allergic reaction.

Recalled Genepro Whey 4th Generation Plasma Treated Protein is an unflavored protein powder that is labeled as containing pea protein isolate, rice protein isolate, mungbean protein isolate, L-Lysine, L-Leucine, L-Threonine, L-Methionine, as well as other ingredients. It was distributed in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, and Wyoming. It is packaged in a resealable mylar bag and can be further identified by the following:
