FDA Warns Consumers Not to Use ULTRA ADVANC3 Joint Supplements

On February 26, 2026, the FDA warned consumers not to purchase or use ULTRA ADVANC3 and ULTRA ADVANC3 GOLD, products promoted for joint pain relief, because FDA testing found that they contain undeclared dexamethasone, diclofenac, and methocarbamol, which are not permitted in dietary supplements.

(See ConsumerLab’s Joint Health Supplements Review, which discusses ingredients commonly promoted for arthritis and joint pain, as well as our Top Picks.)

Dexamethasone is a prescription corticosteroid drug that has the potential to cause severe and serious adverse events, including adrenal suppression, a disorder in which the adrenal glands do not produce enough hormones, and other adverse events, which can lead to death. Depending on the dose, these adverse events may be severe and even life-threatening. Sudden discontinuation of dexamethasone can also cause potentially dangerous withdrawal symptoms.

Diclofenac is an anti-inflammatory drug that can cause heart attack, stroke, heart failure, and death, especially among people with pre-existing susceptibility to heart disease. The drug should not be used by people with a history of stroke or heart attack, elderly individuals, people with kidney insufficiency, women who are pregnant, or those with a history of GI bleeds or ulcers. Methocarbamol, a muscle relaxant, may cause sedation, dizziness, low blood pressure, and impaired ability to perform tasks such as driving.

ULTRA ADVANC3 was sold on Amazon and and ULTRA ADVANC3 GOLD on various websites, and both products may have been sold in some retail stores.

The FDA advises consumers currently using these products to consult a healthcare professional before stopping use due to the risk of steroid withdrawal.
