Jamieson Joint Pain, Magnesium, and Maca Supplements Recalled

On April 1, 2026, Health Canada (the Canadian equivalent of the FDA) announced that Jamieson Laboratories recalled certain Jamieson Joint Pain Relief, Magnesium Bisglycinate, and Maca supplements due to defective tamper-evident seals. Tamper-evident seals help ensure a product has not been opened or altered.

Recalled products were distributed to wholesalers and retailers in Canada and can be identified by the following:

  • Jamieson Laboratories Joint Pain Relief capsules (containing partially hydrolyzed chicken eggshell membrane and vitamin D)
    • NPN: 80140241
    • Lot numbers: 69650, 69804, 70149, 70527, 68744
  • Jamieson Laboratories Magnesium Bisglycinate capsules
    • NPN: 80131651
    • Lot numbers: 69650, 69804, 70149, 70527, 68744
  • Jamieson Laboratories Maca capsules
    • NPN: 80134082
    • Lot numbers: 68776, 69462, 70151

Consumers should verify if their product is affected and consult a healthcare provider before discontinuing use or if they have any concerns. Consumers may also contact Jamieson Laboratories with questions or report any adverse effects to Health Canada.
