On April 10, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Vitaquest International LLC is recalling multiple iron-containing dietary supplement bottles and packets because the packaging is not child-resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or death from iron poisoning if ingested by young children.

As discussed in ConsumerLab’s Iron Supplements Review, iron supplements are a leading cause of poisoning in children younger than age six.

Iron-containing supplements are required to be in child-resistant packaging because ingestion by young children can cause serious poisoning. This recall involves products that do not meet federal child-resistant packaging requirements.

The recalled supplements were sold nationwide in the United States from January 2019 through April 2026 through online retailers, including Amazon.com, as well as through brand websites, healthcare providers, and specialty retailers. They include the following products – although additional products and brands may be included:

• Bari Life Complete Bariatric Vitamin – Watermelon (60 ct)
• Bird&Be The Prenatal Essentials for Females (30 packets)
• Bird&Be The Power Prenatal for Females (30 packets)
• Bird&Be The Power Prenatal for Females + CoQ10 Boost (30 packets)
• Bird&Be Female Fertility Power Prenatal Pack (30 packets)
• Bird&Be Complete Prenatal Pack (30 packets)
• Bird&Be Female Fertility Power Prenatal + CoQ10 Pack (30 packets)
• Biote Nutraceutical Iron+ (30 ct)
• Dr. Fuhrman Gentle Prenatal Multivitamin + D3 (120 ct)
• Dr. Fuhrman Pixie Vites Children’s Multivitamin (120 ct)
• NuLife Advanced Bariatrics Multivitamin Chewable Tablets (60 ct)
• HMR Multi Daily Vitamin and Mineral Supplement (60 ct)
• Bariatric Pal Ultra Multi Bariatric Multivitamin (90 ct)
• Noevir Inner Care Premium BioEssentials (120 ct)
• Zenbean Kids Café Instant Coffee + Nutrition Latte — Original, Caramel, Chocolate, and Vanilla (30 servings)
• Sakara The Foundation (30 packets)
• Sakara The Foundation: Prenatal (30 packets)

Additional iron-containing supplement products and brands may also be included in the recall.

Consumers should immediately secure the products out of reach of children and contact the recalling firm for instructions.
