“MyBladder” Bladder Control Supplement Recalled

On October 28, 2025, Purity Products recalled one lot of MyBladder, a supplement promoted to support bladder control, because company tests detected two strains of E. coli (Escherichia coli – strains O7:K1 and 1303) in the affected lot.

(See our Answer about supplements for nighttime urination. Also see ConsumerLab's Reviews of Cranberry Supplements and D-Mannose Supplements.

E. coli is a bacterium that can cause severe stomach cramps, watery or bloody diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, and headache. While most people recover within a week, young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems are more likely to get sick from E. coli, and their symptoms may be more severe.

Recalled MyBladder (see product photos) contains a blend of herbs including horsetail extract and caper extract, and it supports “normal bladder control, urinary tract health, bladder strength and tone.” It was distributed in the U.S. through online retailers Walmart and Amazon, and can be further identified by the following:

  • Product name: MyBladder dietary supplement
  • Packaging: White HDPE bottle with white cap, containing 60 clear capsules filled with brown powder
  • Lot number: 030425176

Consumers who have purchased this product should stop using it immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers should contact their physician or healthcare provider if they experience unexpected side effects after using this product.
