On September 24, 2026, Galil Importing Corp recalled Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning because testing found elevated levels of lead.

Lead exposure, even at very low levels, can cause neurological impairment. In children, this may lead to learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and reduced IQ. Adults may experience abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, changes in blood pressure, or kidney and liver dysfunction. Chronic exposure has been linked to damage to the kidneys, liver, and bones.

Recalled Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning (see product photos) is packaged in 90-gram transparent plastic containers. It was distributed between November 18, 2025 and September 7, 2026 to retail stores, grocery stores, delis, and supermarkets in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida, and Illinois and can be further identified by the following:

Consumers who have recalled Lior Cinnamon Ground Seasoning should not consume it and should discard the product or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
