Conolidine, the main ingredient in CONOCB2™ Liquid Natural Relief and CONOCB2™ Liquid Clinical Strength, is an indole alkaloid compound naturally found in very small amounts in the stem bark of crepe jasmine (Tabernaemontana divaricate). The stem bark of crepe jasmine has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese, Thai, and Ayurveda medicine to treat fever and pain. There is interest in using conolidine as a pain-reliever based on evidence from animal research suggesting that it may reduce pain without the side effects of opioids (Flight, Nat Rev Drug Discov 2011).
