Levels of CoQ10 in the blood actually increase from young adulthood through middle age, peaking at around age 60, at which time levels begin to slightly decrease. Meanwhile, CoQ10 levels in brain and heart tissue do decrease with age. However, perhaps of more importance, after age 60 less CoQ10 gets converted in the body into its active form, ubiquinol. I took one dose of CoQ10 and it made me drowsy. I did not feel well at all. Haven't taken it since.

I have been ingesting 400Mg of aforementioned product with fats as directed for the past year and I have not noticed any improvement in my health?????? Am I normal?

For what it's worth, I have to take 1200 to 1500 mg liquid ubiquinol daily. I feel good at 1000 mg, but testing showed that I was deficient at 1000! At 500 mg, I get VERY breathless. So maybe you need more than 400 mg for whatever you need it for??
