Nano formulations of CoQ10, such as NanoCoQ10, NanoCell-Q and VesiSorb CoQ10, involve microencapsulating tiny amounts of CoQ10 in various substances which supposedly make CoQ10 more dispersible in water and enhance its absorption. Unfortunately, the evidence supporting these nano formulations is not strong and is based on small, company-funded studies -- some of which do not appear to have been published. Am taking 100mg-200mg per ay of Ubiquinol. Should we give it a rest period, if so how often? and for how long?

I used to take the expensive Ubiquinol CoQ10 (100 mgs). I still tested low for CoQ10 -- until I took a cheaper Costco 300 mgs. My levels are finally normal. As you imply, the fancier supplements are not always better.
