What is the best way to care for yourself when recovering from COVID-19? After infection, there are many things to consider, including how long you should quarantine, whether you should get vaccinated, when it is safe to undergo a surgery, and how to spot and, possibly, improve symptoms of "long COVID," such as fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of taste and/or smell and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
Other reported symptoms of "long COVID" can include dizziness, muscle and joint pain, changes in blood sugar or hyperglycemia, depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia and kidney injury.
