Question:
I have been hearing a lot about the ingredient kaneka QH and that it must be in CoQ10, in order to work better. What is kaneka?

Answer:
Kaneka is a company which sells the ingredient “ubiquinol” under the trade name “QH.” Ubiquinol is the active, anti-oxidant form of CoQ10. If you take CoQ10, it is converted in your body to ubiquinol. However, some people prefer to take ubiquinol instead of CoQ10 as there is some evidence that it may be better absorbed. You can learn more about ubiquinol, CoQ10, ways of enhancing their absorption, and our tests of products which contain these ingredients (including the QH brand of ubiquinol) in the CoQ10 and Ubiquinol Supplements Review>>

It is my understanding that CoQ10 by definition is a ubiquinol.
