On September 3, 2026, Vet Plus, Inc. recalled two Fi supplements for dogs because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Salmonella can affect animals that eat contaminated products. Pets with Salmonella infections may be lethargic and may have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Some pets may have only decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal pain. Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans. Pet owners whose animals consume any of the recalled products and have these symptoms should contact their veterinarian.

There is also a potential risk to people from handling contaminated products or animal waste after animals have consumed the products. In people, Salmonella infection can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping, and fever. Rarely, Salmonella can cause more serious conditions, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms. Risk is greater if people do not thoroughly wash their hands after contact with the contaminated product, surfaces exposed to the products, or animal waste.

Recalled Fi Calming Supplement for Dogs and Fi 8-in-1 Formula Supplement for Dogs (see product photos) were distributed directly to consumers and through online retailers Amazon and Chewy and can be identified by the following:
