Good Stuff Cacao Warned for Cacao and Green Tea Claims

On July 2, 2026, the FDA issued a Warning Letter to Good Stuff Cacao after a review of the company’s website found statements promoting its Goji Berries, Green Tea, Raw Cacao Powder, and Crystallized Raw Honey products with drug claims.

(See ConsumerLab’s Reviews of Green Tea, Dark Chocolates & Cocoa, and Manuka Honey for tests of related products.)

For example, according to the Warning Letter, the company’s Green Tea was promoted with statements such as “Lowers Risk of Heart Disease,” and “Fights Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and More.” Its Raw Cacao Powder was promoted with statements such as “Lower Blood Pressure,” and the label for Crystallized Raw Honey described the product as “antiviral.”

According to FDA, these products have not been approved by FDA as safe and effective for these uses.

Good Stuff Cacao is required to notify the FDA in writing within 15 days noting the specific steps it has taken to address any violations.
