Many nuts, including pistachios, as well as almonds, cashews, Brazil nuts, chestnuts and peanuts, contain very small concentrations of melatonin. Although pistachios contain higher concentrations of melatonin than some other nuts, no nuts have been found contain the amount of melatonin provided by supplements.
